Picture Prompt writing by Jamal

One sunny day me and my family went to the zoo in the afternoon at 12.30. I was so happy going to the zoo. We arrived at 1.00 and it was crowded with people. The keepers were busy doing the paperwork. We waited until the keeper was free.

Later we signed up and went to look at the animals. First we saw a majestic zebra running across the field like a cheetah. Second we saw a walrus swimming along the pool. Third we saw a tamarin monkey having an enjoyable time swinging along the monkey bars. Then we saw a dangerous lion feasting on meat. Five we saw a wonderful spot to eat. It was so exciting and interesting because there were birds flying on top of our heads and it was blocked out.

After eating, we went back to the lion. It got noisy cause the lion started roaring. Then we went to the giraffes. People were so entertained because there were people riding on the giraffes back! It was fascinating.

Lastly the elephants. They were wild but beautiful. Then at 3.00 we went home and it was a fantastic day.

Back to school by Jamal

I am scared of going back to school because I haven't gone to school for more than 7 weeks.

I am excited about going back to school to play with my friends and see all the teachers again.

I am afraid if anyone is going to bully me and my sister at school.

I am happy to learn at school and play.

I am happy to be back at school.

What Jamal did for Mothers Day

On  Sunday 10th of May, my family and I celebrated Mothers Day with my uncle, aunty, sister, cousins, and my nana.

We bought KFC for breakfast and some chips. It was so yummy. My aunty planned to go on a Pokemon hunt. But first, we went to my nana's house and said Happy Mothers day to her.

After my sister and I stayed and did some things together.

After about 2 hours, they came back and said it was cool and fun.

I wish I could do it again.

Thank you Teachers

Students have been working on creating art saying thank you to all the teachers that have supported them during lockdown.

School starting back!

I missed school because at home was boring. I am looking forward to math, reading and art.

I also missed my friends and I missed all of the teachers. I missed doing my work in class.

I am scared of my math my work. I felt happy when I heard school was opening again. So then I jumped up and said "YES" because I've already wanted to come back to school for a long time.

Mothers Day with Mele

Tasmah created a slideshow about ways you can take care of the environment.

Mothers Day Recount by Irene

On Sunday I helped my mum with the food because we were making heaps of food for the people that were coming. We got the vegetables out and other stuff like meat. I was so excited for the people to come because I haven’t played with their kids in a very long time since the lock down started.

The food that we had was BBQ, oka, taro, banana {not the yellow, the green ones we cooked} fish, chicken hearts - I think we had more but I can’t remember it. Oka is a food that you put coconut cream in and cucumber and tomato you also fish in which is why I love eating oka.

The people coming to my house were the people that come to my church. What I mean by my church, I mean my dad's church because he’s the pastor {leader} so they were coming to my house.

My mum was so happy because we had so much fun. I also had fun throughout the day because I could play with the kids and watch the mums dance. We had a happy mothers day.

I hope you enjoyed my story.
