End of Term 3!

 Wow! Term 3 has gone super fast! 

Thank you to Miss Smith, our wonderful student teacher, who has been teaching Room 9 for the past 4 weeks! We will miss you and wish you all the best!

Shared Lunch!

 Room 9 students enjoyed a big shared lunch to celebrate the end of term 3! 

Thank you to all the whanau who brought in kai for us, it was delicious!

Arts and Crafts

 Students created some wonderful spring art! They painted brown branches onto light blue paper and then scrunched up pink tissue paper to create the cherry blossoms.

Students then glued the paper into a cylinder shape and hung pink tissue paper from the bottom.

GET YOUR GAME ON!

Today, Glenbrae School had their house competition GET YOUR GAME ON!

We had lots of fun versing different houses and playing a variety of different games.

Te Reo Weather

 This week Room 9 has been learning the te reo words for different types of weather. Here is a finished example completed by Melepalu.

Knitted Beanies!

 Glenbrae School was lucky to have 150 knitted hats donated to all the students.

Maori Language Week

 Yesterday at 12.00pm Glenbrae School participated in singing 'tutira mai nga iwi'  in celebration of Māori language week!

Mosaic Sunflowers

 I am so proud of students in Room 9 who have been working EXTREMELY hard on their mosaic sunflowers. They look AWESOME. 

We love being CREATIVE in Room 9. Here are a few examples of completed sunflowers.

Colourful Class!!

 This week, I have had time to put up some beautiful art done by Room 9 students. Room 9 is looking beautiful and colourful! 

Tongan Language Week!

 This week, students have been creating Tongan art pieces. They used vivid to go over their lines and then dyed using brown and orange dye.

Spring Time!

 Room 9's student teacher (also Miss Smith!) is doing a great job on her full control so far! Today in class, the students are learning to use the 5 senses to describe a spring scene.

Sunny Weather in Auckland

 What a beautiful day in Auckland! Glenbrae students are enjoying eating their kai in the beautiful sunshine.

Tongan Language Week

 This week we are celebrating Tongan Language week. Ka pai to the students who performed and spoke to confidently at the assembly.

Create your OWN robot

 In class, students have been reading the story ZAPPED! In the story, 2 kids create their on cleaning robot out of old junk. 

I challenged Room 9 students to create their own robot, name it and say what it does!

Father's Day Trophies!

 This week students have been creating trophies for Father's Day. Students will give their trophies to their dad or a special caregiver they want to say thanks to.

Inside the trophies, students have written a kind note to their dad or special someone.
