Starting the week off right getting straight into problem solving and share our strategies!

Room 9 have been working hard over the last week to complete their collaborative Matariki art piece!

They had to work together to put all the pieces together!

We can't wait to put it on display!

In Kiwican, students are learning about Teamwork and Communication.

Students in Room 9 love solving maths problems collaboratively during problem solving.

We unpack the problem as a whole group and then the students are split into smaller groups of 3-4 to solve the problem together.

At the end, one group will come up to the front, explain how they solved the problem and write it neatly on the board.

On Sunday the 1st of March, a group of Year 3/4s and a group of 5/6s competed at the Top Schools Event at Churchill Park, Auckland.

The students had lots of fun competing against other schools in different activities. The waterslide was a favourite by far!

Well done for all those students who came and participated, and thank you to the parents who came to support and help their child/children.

Glenbrae School competed in the cluster Softball tournament on Wednesday 26th February.

We took a Year 5 team and a Year 6 team. Both teams played incredibly well and both got into the finals.

We ended up getting two 2nd places overall!

Well done to Glenbrae students for such a wonderful day out. You were all excellent team players!

Students have been learning about how to work together as a team and trust each other. Thank you Kiwican teaching us important life skills.
