Mālō e lelei

This week is Tongan language week. Room 9 has been learning new Tongan phrases in class.

Here is a phrase you could learn yourself: Ko e 'aho faka'ofo'ofa eni - Today is a good day.

Here is a picture of some Tongan students in Room 9 who dressed up to celebrate Tongan language week! You guys look great!

  3. Hi my name is Lucy. I go to Hokitika Primary School. It would of been fun dressing up in your traditional fun colourful clothing. Did you do any fun activities? What do you do on Tongan day? I like how you got creative when you got dressed into the cool clothes what did you use for some of the girls skirts? I would love to learn more about your traditional clothing.
